For Grant Seekers

Grant Proposal Writers, Grant Managers, and Administrators

Polish the skills you need to enhance your grants success. With The Grantsmanship Center Consulting, you can build the professional competencies that get programs funded—and more. We offer services in the following areas:

  • Funding research – We’ll help you plan and implement a research approach that will identify the funders most likely to support your organization’s work
  • Program planning – We’ll show you how to identify community needs and plan programs to address them
  • Proposal development – We’ll help you interpret application guidelines and prepare a compelling proposal (but we won’t write the proposal for you).
  • Proposal review – When you want a professional review of a draft proposal, we’ll provide written comments and suggestions. If there are application guidelines, we’ll study those as well, to make sure our advice is on track.
  • Coaching for grant professionals – We’ll answer questions, suggest resources, provide weekly professional advice and supervision by phone or webinar, review proposals, and/or recommend avenues for continued professional development.
  • Grant management – The price organizations pay when they’re ill-equipped to manage the grants they win can be steep. We can help you set up the infrastructure you need to manage foundation, corporate, and government grants effectively. We can also help you interpret government regulations, establish systems to ensure compliance, and work with you to correct problems.

More Ways We Can Help

  • Organizational capacity building – We can guide your organization’s board and executive staff through a self-assessment of the strengths and weaknesses in current management systems and governance. The assessment results can provide a strong basis not only for policy and procedure changes but also for requests for capacity-building grants. If you seek funding to strengthen your organization’s infrastructure, we can guide you through that process and review your proposal drafts.
  • In-service training for staff – We can develop and deliver webinars and/or on-site professional development events tailored to the needs of your organization.
  • Fund development strategies – We can help you establish an organizational fund development plan; train your staff in proven strategies; and provide feedback and guidance as you work to increase revenues beyond grant funding.
  • Specialized services – We have a broad range of expertise on all topics related to grant proposals and grant management, as well as in fundraising, organizational development, board development, and more. If you don’t see what you need here, give us a call.
