MEET THE TRAINERS

A 'lead' senior trainer and one or two 'guest' trainers, from the list below, will deliver each class. Enjoy the high energy, expertise, and the personal attention they focus on the class participants.

Barbara FloerschBarbara Floersch, Chief of Curriculum & Training, has raised millions of grant dollars from both government and private funders, taught hundreds of classes throughout the U.S. and internationally, conducted numerous online events, served as a federal grant reviewer, published hundreds of articles, and is a regular contributor to the NonProfitTimes. Barbara also authored the textbook, Grantsmanship: Program Planning & Proposal Writing, the updated and expanded edition of Norton Kiritz’s seminal publication.

Linda J. BoedekerLinda J. Boedeker, Senior Trainer, has worked with nonprofit organizations as executive director, trainer, development professional, and foundation officer. Linda managed the provision of services to persons affected by HIV and AIDS in 26 counties and has assisted nonprofits with fundraising, strategic planning, board development, and volunteer development. As an independent consultant, Linda has filled the role of chief executive officer during organization transitions for nonprofits in the arts, social service, and health.

Angela RichardsonAngela Richardson, Senior Trainer, brings expertise in program development, fund development, strategic planning, and organizational coaching. She has trained other trainers and trained staff for nonprofit organizations, school districts, governments, faith-based organizations, and colleges and universities. Angela has also has reviewed proposals for the U.S. Department of Education and local arts commissions in Los Angeles and Rhode Island.

AJ KingAJ King, Senior Trainer, brings decades of experience in public health plus 16 years of grant experience. AJ’s work includes proposal writing for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, U.S. Department of State, California Department of Public Health, Los Angeles County Department of Public Health and numerous foundations; facilitating grant development processes; grant oversight; grant reviews; and program management. AJ also has facilitated processes for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

  • offers one-on-one consultation with the trainers

  • includes individual and group exercises with coaching by trainers and constructive, collegial input from peers


Tuition is $1,095. Save $100 with early-bird discount by paying at least 30 days in advance.

The online Learning Events listed above combine with individual & group exercises completed between the online sessions for five, full and productive days. This class provides approximately 37 hours of active learning. We want you to get the very most from this experience so for maximun benefit, please plan to devote some time between the online sessions to complete the exercises and readings.
